Pastoral farmers know all too well the issues that come when their flock is affected by sheep scab – an allergic skin condition that spreads by mites living in sheep’s fleeces. Although prevention is the ideal, affected sheep can still be treated (and reported) to control the spread of this contagious disease.
For those with the skillset to carry out sheep dipping on their farm, this is often cited as an effective way to treat and control sheep scab.
